Rainforest Cottage

Deep in the heart of the Forest in Lucaston you will find this 46 acre extremely private property. There is a cottage and several sheds on the property as well as a permanent creek and a mix of rainforest and tall native timbers with approximately 1 acre of cleared land on a great level area with easy 4wd access. The cabin is set up with solar panels for electricity and can be backed up by generator. Hot water is provided to the main cabin and separate shower by a solar hot water system and from the slow combustion stove. There is also a wood heater and gas set up for cooking/refrigeration. A composting toilet and the plumbing for a washing machine are located under the back awning. A real highlight is the outdoor bath which can be used as a fire bath or can simply have hot water piped into it.
There is a nearly completed wattle and daub rendered shed next to the cabin with firewood storage area, a good sized hothouse and chicken shed.
Water is not a problem with rainwater collected from the roof of the cabin and shed being pumped up to a 20 000 litre tank which is then gravity fed back to the cabin. In addition there is a 5000 litre tank which is kept full from a petrol-less Glockerman water powered pump that is permanently located in the creek.
